OT: Olympics..

watched about half of the opening ceremony.. shame about the rain.

Good to see Celine Dion sing, but gee Ch nine is giving it a flogging,
playing highlights of her singing about 6 times in 90 mins. Wifes just
said" Thats it had enough of her already!" :-)

River cruses for all! :-)

I thought they dragged it out... seemed like 15mins of the animated
horse on the river, then the torch relay, so many people, each taking
8-10 steps...

The "cauldron" was interesting.. they said it was paying homage to the
Montgolfier Bros and the first hydrogen balloon... that would have been
interesting and make for some entertaining television. Better that when
Aus's ring with Cathy stopped working at Sydney. Perhaps try first hot
air balloon... Still, was spectacle.. lots of disco/techno/ clothes that
dont fit... :-)

Sounds like everything is normal in TV world, broadcast something that
you know people want to watch then flog it to death complete with shit
loads of ads.

Sounds good, only spent a couple of days in Paris and really enjoyed it,
I would love to go back there and spend more time.

Never liked watching opening and closing ceremonies, they go on way too
long and to me they are boring.
