Just be aware, it's still in development, but certainly going on my Xmas
list... been searching for a list of units with no joy...

But then I came across this:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3086120/Harpoon_Classic_97/

Paint me yella and call me taxi!! Harpoon!!!! Woo-hoo! I still have my
near 30 year old copy (Amiga) on the shelf. I had all the scenario
disks, and every version that came out. None work on a modern pc, So
this will be another I'll be waiting for., Now, if someone could do an
upgrade for Fleet Command...

Cheers! I have cocked up in my exitement.. Just checked the box I have,
(Harpoon Classic 97) and it's for Win 3.1 and Win 95. The original
Harpoon game I had was just called 'Harpoon' and was for the Amiga 500,
And boy did that game cop a flogging... mate came over and stayed all
night playing it.. i had to chuck him out next day so I could install a
Panasonic dot matrix printer.

I think I'll wait to see if the steam version of Harpoon classic 97
eventuates... plenty to keep me amused with Sea Power and Cold Waters.
Timing is perfect, as Sea Power requires a bit of horsepower graphics
wise, and i just upgraded to a new pc with a RTX 4070 card.

Just got my WA fishing licence in the mail.. i'll be back in Perth mid
December to help pull the cray pots, and get a feed of dhui, baldie and
Kingfish hopefully....

Easy mistake to make, I have a storage box full of classic games for
both Amiga and PC and forget which was which. I don't know if you
remember Carmageddon but I still have the original release. It was one
of the games that prompted me to buy a 3DFX card.

Die you sad, pathetic cunt.
You need to be looking into a mirror when you say that for you are truly
pathetic.

Of course, you could prove you aren't 100% pathetic - you could flash
out your *credentials*, you know, those *trade papers* you *claim* to
have. After all, if you're proud of them, you should be keen to show
them and, more importantly, they would be the means by which you could
slap me down - hard. But you seem reluctant to do that. Now I know it's
not because you care about me - hence your vitriol above - so the only
reason you don't flash those trade papers would be because you don't
have them. That detail is pretty much confirmed by the fact your name
isn't listed in the trade registration database and no records in your
name exist in the archives at PROV. That makes *you* pathetic!

Yep, all started with that year 10 pass that qualified me to enter into
an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic. Hey, I even qualified for an AME
apprenticeship. Darren didn't even get to first base, he *ran away* from
that critical year 9 exam and that screwed him over right royally
preventing him getting any apprenticeship ever. That one tiny detail
really burnt him back then and really burns him up inside now!
Post by Clocky
You've never managed to pass a single test in your whole life but you
overcompensated by becoming an incessant bullshit artist... and that's
all you can ever be.
But a good bullshit artist needs to be convincing, needs to do their
homework, needs a good memory, and so much more. At first I didn't
question his bullshit but as he mouthed off more and more, it became
obvious that he had huge chasms in his trade knowledge and a lack of
awareness of what happens in an apprenticeship. It was obvious he'd
never sat in an apprentice class since his underpinning theory knowledge
was entirely lacking, as proven by his "CV's straighten the steering"
claim. That told me he had no clue about steering and suspension
*fundamentals*. The more bullshit he wrote, the more obvious it became
that he'd never undertaken 1 apprenticeship, much less 3 of them!

Notice how he now no longer even mentions his *fake* apprenticeships?

I doubt that very much. What's left of the Enablers have never once
chided him about
his fairy tales (or appalling behaviour), nor do they possess even half
a skerrick of reason. Normally, the only thing that would make an
Enabler cringe would be a hard kick in the balls. But even this won't do
it now as they had them removed some time ago...

Just FYI.
Cheers! I have cocked up in my exitement.. Just checked the box I
have, (Harpoon Classic 97) and it's for Win 3.1 and Win 95. The
original Harpoon game I had was just called 'Harpoon' and was for the
Amiga 500, And boy did that game cop a flogging... mate came over and
stayed all night playing it..  i had to chuck him out next day so I
could install a Panasonic dot matrix printer.
Easy mistake to make, I have a storage box full of classic games for
both Amiga and PC and forget which was which. I don't know if you
remember Carmageddon
Certainly do. I have Carmageddon TDR 2000 in my GOG library.. Laugh my
guts out playing it: drive over a kid on a bike? "Sorry".

but I still have the original release. It was one
of the games that prompted me to buy a 3DFX card.

Did you build it yourself?
Nah, couldnt be fucked building pc's thesedays. I figure by the time you
buy the parts, there's not a lot of added cost for someone to build it.
I bought a box very similar to this:
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/ready-to-run-pcs/gaming-pc/114658-r2r10351
added another 32 gb ram, so that should see me out... 2 year warranty,
and built, on the shelf, ready to buy.

My son is looking to buy a RTX4070 can I ask
where you got yours from?
Not sure if you have Scorptec over there, but they are one of the
biggest PC makers over here.

But then I came across this: https://store.steampowered.com/
app/3086120/Harpoon_Classic_97/
Paint me yella and call me taxi!! Harpoon!!!! Woo-hoo! I still have
my near 30 year old copy (Amiga) on the shelf. I had all the
scenario disks, and every version that came out. None work on a
modern pc,
They will under emulation if you want to run the Amiga version.
Almost all apps and games are available for download as ADF disk images.
Just FYI.

No but that doesn't really matter as I'd probably have to have it
shipped even if they were in WA. PLE in Wangara used to be my go-to and
their prices were great but that's changed since they opened more store
here and in Vic I think.

Scorptec prices look pretty good, cheers.

Scorptec and Centrecom. I find both to be good, and alternate between
them depending on what I'm looking for as they don't stock all brands
equally.
