Thats outa my league. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Falcon front s
Do you really think I'd read that shit .. you posted lines after lines
of... i dunno.!!!
I know you don't know!
And why would I want to, you stupid, stupid fuckwit? I dont own a xy
falcon, and havent for 20 years!! Maybe you should be directing your
flawed "knowledge" to someone who does, and who cares, retard!! :-)
But you decided to air your lack of knowledge anyway, right?
Sorry, but *why* do you think I need a lesson in changing XY springs,
when it was clear that I don't own an XY falcon? (I know why, but humour
me..)
You have owned Falcons. Wisely, you got rid of yours.
You side-stepped the question dickhead. No Suprise.
You owned Falcons. You no longer own Falcons. That's hardly sidestepping
the question.
Post by LindsayPost by XenoPost by LindsayAnd further to that, why did you not direct your reply to the person
asking for information on changing said springs?
The OP can read it regardless where directed.
but you directed it to me. you could have just as easily replied
directly to the OP, but no, you go on about inane dribblings, simply
because you have nothing better to do than start another shitfight.....
Besides, he already stated
Post by Xenohe didn't have the requisite equipment. Noddy suggested a 'dangerous'
method
is not the spring compressor sold by supercheap the correct tool?
No.
Post by Lindsaywhen what was asked for was 'safe and easy methods'. The safe
Post by Xenomethod is with the correct tool. The easy method is with the correct
tool. The correct tool is what I used in the trade and what was used in
TAFE colleges.
Of course it was. Juan Fangio showed you.
Please try not to air your lack of knowledge and experience!
Post by LindsayPost by XenoPost by LindsayPermit me for a second or so?
Like I can stop you?
Post by LindsayI think it's because you're an attention seeking fuckwit, who has
"Most of what Noddy writes is simply to hang shit on anyone else who
posts. If you delete posts where he's hanging shit on people, you will
find you've deleted 99% of his posts. 18/01/16.. yet amazingly, I cant
see you helping anyone in your last 300 posts. Your nemesis *has*.
Helping by suggesting unsafe methods?
I didnt see you suggesting some safe ones.
The correct tool had already been suggested. Noddy pointed that out but
then dissed it as being difficult to use because of the mode of
operation. The correct factory tool uses a different, and slower, method
of operation to the supercheap type he also mentioned.
Post by LindsayPost by XenoAt least he also suggested that it was 'dangerous'.
Doesnt alter the fact, Tom Clasener. He's done more to help others than
you.
How is suggesting a dangerous method of spring removal 'helping' others?
Should they also follow his lead on how to safely lift a Lotus Elise on
a hoist? The correct method of lifting the Lotus takes significantly
more time but did Noddy do that? Nope, he tried the quick method until
it was patently obvious, even to him, that this was dangerous.
Shortcut Noddy suggested the "Supercheap" method for compressing the
Falcon springs yet he is in a position to have quickly and easily
fabricated a better and safe tool. He could have even bought the correct
tool but, for his workshop, he is content to use and suggest unsafe
methods.
All you've done is start yet another shitfight. As usual. Anything
Post by Lindsayto have someone to communicate with. Argueing is better than nothing, eh
Tom Clasener?
You seem to think so. All I did was suggest the correct tool and showed
that it could easily be fabricated. You, with your avowed lack of
knowledge of the topic at hand, took it from there and are now arguing
the point!
My words on the subject, which you snipped, are as follows;
Falcon front springs are quite easy to do IF you use the correct tools.
In the absence of the correct Ford tool, a spring compressor for the
falcon is quite easy to make up. Something like this;
http://tinyurl.com/h7pcs4o
I made one up way back in 1970 during my apprenticeship. Falcons used to
chop out upper arm bushes and ball joints regularly, especially on the
rough roads around my home district. The only major difference between
the one shown and mine was that I used a clutch release bearing instead
of the tapered roller bearing shown. The release bearing was better
because it was sealed. I also machined up the top and bottom plates. The
only proviso I'd recommend is a decent sized threaded rod with grade 8
bolts and nuts. I used that spring compressor for 10 years or more.
Safest way to do those Falcon springs.
The factory tool, or a suitable made up one of a similar design, is the
*only safe way* to remove Falcon springs. Noddy's suggested alternative
is downright dangerous even if you know what you're doing. For a start,
there's not of lot of room to play around in and those type need to be
kept exactly opposite each other. The body design on those vintage
Falcons meant that you couldn't get the two spring compressors exactly
opposite. That makes for an extremely dangerous scenario and plenty of
people have had their faces rearranged in the attempt.
Post by LindsayPost by XenoPost by LindsaySo, having said that, Tom Clasener, it appears it's *you* who is the dog
shit on the shoe of aus.cars. You can be the left shoe, and Jonz can be
the right one.. Between the pair of you, you should figure out which
shoe goes on which foot. If you have difficulty, ask an adult.
Is that what you have to do? Stick with flip flops! More your style!
"flip flops" ? Really? Bwahahahahahahahahhahaa
Yes. Since you cannot offer any 'knowledgeable' advice on the topic at
hand, best you stick with what you know.
Post by LindsayPost by XenoPost by LindsayHave a good evening. :-D
I have been. Have you? Obviously not!
